Calif. REIT’s Plan to Sell Most of Its
Holdings Puts Sole Biotech Incubator in Lurch

The REIT, Mission West Properties, is home to the 36,594-square-foot San Jose BioCenter incubator, one of 110 properties that comprise the REIT’s 7.7-million-square-foot portfolio. It’s in talks to sell 93 of the properties, totaling 6.9 million square feet, to an undisclosed private equity firm for $1.8 billion in cash, another sign of how a wave of real estate acquisitions is reshaping California’s commercial real estate market
